Everything started with a lot of research on the subject. Here is the slide of references used in my presentation deck to the museum.
Research also helped define my colours and they were used to guide the story’s progression.
I really wanted to highlight how Durand-Ruel made everyone stare at these Impressionist paintings he believed in so much, by mixing them up with established Barbizon painters.
I created frames of avant garde movements that followed Impressionism and some other crazy imagery to convey the possibilities of future art.
